My final farewell to the Wawbeek Inn .....

One last visit .... one last walk through these doors to register for our room.

On last walk through the gardens .... to admire the much loved flowers.

One last walk through this door to share a meal with the wonderful staff ....

I was already missing the teddy bear that sits on the birch tree chair during the winter, keeping watch over his guests.

One last walk through the rooms of the restaurant .... loving the flowers over the fireplace ....

...wandering the 2nd floor  .. through the game room

... and over to the bar where we shared so many nights listening to Steve as he played and sang the night away..

One last glance from the dining porch ... looking down on the trail that leads down to the lake.

One last Java to go ... I needed that warm comfort  ...as I wander around this old Adirondack camp one last time

The tables are empty ....  but the memories of wonderful meals are alive in many peoples memories.

And the flowers (at least the seeds) of these beautiful flowers, made it to my garden.  It's the little piece of the Wawbeek that I keep close to me.  Just today, I tenderly cleaned up their new little home area and they were peeking out from the earth. You may have seen then in past posts .... and I will post again come this June.                    Tomorrow .... more about the farewell!
