Aruba ... a little bit of the wild side!

The cacti on this Island are amazing.  Amazingly, beautiful ...

....and plentiful. I couldn't help but laugh as we came upon this field of little "newbees"!

A little further down the road, we found the serious "parents"!

 

But, most amazing to me was this bird, perched on top of one of these spiny towers!  Are you kidding me!  Can you imagine coming in on the landing! Makes me squirm just thinking about it.

Scampering around the fields of the cacti are these wild goats.  Turning the bend, I saw one, then two, then ten ... well, you get the picture now. All coming into the watering hole.  

 

Then, one decided to take off, then two, then ten ....

Ahh... back to the fields of cacti!

 Would you look at this!  Talk about taking protection of your nest seriously!

Aruba - One Happy Island ... as long as you stay out of the cacti fields!
