The many faces of bark.

St. Bernard's Cemetery, Saranac Lake, NY
Hummm .... wonder what interesting journey I can create today. Ah ..... bark! I have no idea why bark popped into my mind; but, by the time I arrived home, my brain was whirling!

Here's my thought.  Tree bark is much like a face. Each tree is different, bark comes in many forms, and the form of the bark is individual to each tree .... no two trees look the same.

So, in the beginning, I offered that the bark of a tree is like a face.  As a face ages, the skin becomes more interesting, reflecting the life that it has experienced. I have officially decided that I will now embrace wrinkles and the changes of my face.  After all, it tells a story ... whether it's a tree or a face.... it's all very beautiful!
