Morning has broken .... :)

Webster, NY

My grandddaughter asked me this week,  "Nana, why do we have lives?".
I think this is part of the answer.

A gifted moment.

Sodus Bay, NY

 It's a chance moment
an "oh my"
a recognition of a gift
an opening of the heart
to breath that moment
and listen
to the peace

... absorb the beauty that speaks to the soul.

And, one of you felt it with me.

The Playhouse - Boldt Castle

Clayton, New York 1000 Island Region

Imagine being 16 years old and this was your "playhouse"! As the guide shared stories with us, Clover Boldt certainly had the best Playhouse going.

From the outside, it looks complete and intriguing. Walking thru the doors, your curiosity whispers ... keep going.... there's stories here. The inside is being renovated. You can feel the spirit(s) everywhere.

Of course there was a stage ... and you can just about see the dancing teens.  Off to the side is also a kitchen ... used to prepare food for the visiting friends.

And, how about this bowling alley!  Apparently Clover use to bribe her friends to retrieve the balls once they were thrown at the pins.

Today the Playhouse is used for the brides who are being married under the gazebo. I wonder if that was ever a dream of Clover's. Anyway, the brides are tucked away on the second floor, only to walk down the stone walkway through this enchanting building.

Stories are in every corner. I wish I could learn more, talk with the kids and know their dreams. Generations have passed and my understanding is that a great grandchild visited the property not to long ago.  Can you imagine!

Imagine pulling up in your boat and knowing that this is the place that you are going to hang out with your friends for the evening! Count me in ... please!

Canandaigua Lake Boathouses

Be prepared ... this is a cool, must do!

At the end of the main road in Canandaigua, you will experience a boathouse culture;something that you just can't pull yourself away from.

The back side of the boathouses contain the "garage", which in and of itself is pretty intriguing.

And, the views from and on the lake make you understand why there are people who love the lake. Even on a cold and overcast day, the water Siren's call.
Canandaigua, NY

But, would you look at this! It's the boathouse alley! Personality explodes at each little house, with entrance ways bespeaking the personalities of the inhabitants.

And, if this isn't enough to make an electrician have nightmares, I'm not sure what would! But, it all works!

I hope you enjoyed this little excursion. It's just so interesting!
