It's all in the detail!

The detail on the Victorian ladies in Cape May, New Jersey is...

 .. beautiful, inspiring .....and captivating.

 It must be that when they say  "clean the house",  they

mean inside and out!

Everything is meticulous....

                                                                                                                                                  ... inviting. ...

.. thought out.

Someone deserves a cold one!

A peaceful spot ....

 Everyone needs a peaceful spot ......

 ... A place to regroup and get centered.

This is my little spot in the world.  My backyard balances me back .... revives me ...re-energizes me and let's me breath deeply ... right to my soul.

The mix ...

Cape May, NJ  Sanctuary

Life .... made up of so many facets ..... some similar, some different.

Some things come to the forefront, some recede to the back.

Ups and downs ... make up the path.

Other times, it seems to even out.

At times, something new enters the mix.

And, shuffles things up.

In the end ...

... it's all of it together that makes it such and interesting journey.

Have you seen this exhibit? I've had the privilege to experience it twice; once in Williamsburg and now in Philadelphia.  It's amazing.

I would love to have time with the creator as the concept is born on what will be created next.

 The beauty of the wood, the shape, the finish .. not something thrown together.

It's mystical for all ages!

Time to rock ....

Cape May, New Jersey

 Today I had a need to rock.  For most of the day, I was rocking with great fury.  My thoughts ... perhaps the harder and faster I rock, the quicker the day will pass and so much unknown will be replaced with knowledge.

The good news is, my dear friend will rock with me again soon.

And, we will rock slowly, and laugh and chat.

A day in the life of the Goose Family.

I had the distinct privilege of happening upon the family gathering of  The Goose Family.
 

No one even seemed to notice that I was hoovering over them snapping away as the animal paparazzi!

They were pretty focused at the task at hand .... feeding.

 It was a pretty good feeding frenzy  .....

Then things seemed to slow .....

...and,  Mother Goose took notice.  Yup, enough of this crazy animal chasing camera person!

Round up the troops and head for the water.

Everyone fell into line.

What patience can bring ....

Shhhhhhh ... walk slowly, don't talk ... and stay focused.

 

With good fortune, I was able to capture ... the patience, the grace, the focus  of this Egret as it maneuvered the Cape May State Park Sanctuary.

 

 It wasn't lost on me .... the need to slow down ... and listen to my heart beat.

 

I am assuming that she is "fishing".

 

Or, cooling her ankles in the refreshing water.

 

Or, enjoying her surroundings.

 

Or, wondering what that click, click, clicking is all about.

Perhaps her patience was all about waiting for her friend to show up!

What could possibly be a better reason! I can't think of one.
