Harrisville, NY .... Oswagatchi River Beauty

Harrisville, NY Oswagatchi River

I have never regretted stopping my vehicle to get out and explore a little town. Sometimes it takes me a few passes through to actually do some exploring, but what matters is ... I did it.  Never mind that it took 43 years to do it!

I have no defensible argument ... except that I was always in a hurry to get to my destination.

... and enjoy what is right there for the taking.

This little town of about 630 people, had the vision to develop a natural section of the Oswagatchi River ... right in their town. As I was once again, driving past this scenic overlook, my brain finally engaged and I explored how to get down to the gazebo.
But ... what goes down, must come up ..... up the hill (on foot) ...because, I just have to get the perfect vantage point!

Once again, I have to say, "It's simply beautiful; isn't it?".

I will stop again.  Next time I will walk the path and "drink in" another perspective of this lovely little town.

I'm glad they had the vision .... and that they made it happen. Kudos to you Harrisville people!

In 43 years, All I knew about this town was Jim Scanlon bread. :)

Just lovely!
