On duty!

Morning! I am up and at 'em ... well .... sort of.

I have to pace myself ....

I'll check out all my comfy spots  .... and, I do have some favorites.

But, in the end, I am back at my favorite spot .... in the front window. You know .... I have to save my family from all those runners and joggers!                                        A dog's job is never done.

Yes, it's cold ....but!

No doubt about it, it's cold at the lake!  The wind whipping over the water has a bone chilling bite. But ..... the lake in the winter has its own type of beauty.

Tree branches create an intricate mosaic that makes your eye dance ....
Webster Park, Webster, New York

Come closer...

Let me show you what I  am about ... should you forget.

I know that others hear her call too.

I for one ... never forget.

Morning rituals ...

Waking up and knowing that it's another wonderful day ... full of promise....
and, the pleasure of the morning ritual ... what could be better !

Ahhh .... favorite coffee cups ... that's welcoming ...

And, now for the aroma for that coffee bean ... or perhaps the brightness of a tea .... hummm ..

It's such a good morning hug!

One thing is for sure .... I'm going to savor every minute ....  and bask in the glow of the beginning of a new day!

Morning!

Transported back ....

If you haven't taken the time to step into a small town antique/gift shop, you simply must ... especially if you are over 55! As I walked up to this little shop in Sodus Bay, NY, I stopped dead in my tracks. OMG, I'm 5 years old again and I am all about this bike! I can feel my little arms and legs hopping on and taking off, pedaling just as fast as my  legs can go!  And, do you remember that there was some little landing on the back that you could stand on?

Highchairs certainly weren't what they are today ... but they worked. And, don't get me started on that little red wagon!
And then, my dear friend and I , came across this bin of total nostalgia! Potato ricers, hand held beaters, cookie cut outs ... and we all had the same ones.  Not like today where there are hundreds of different makes of the  same item.

Doll making must have been a favorite hobby back then. I remember dolls that were graced by the beautiful hand made dresses made by my grandmother.

And then we leave this lovely old home/shop and I am once again greeted by this magical tricycle. I can't quite shake the feeling of being 5 again; nor do I really want to.

It's all about the journey!

Faces for the New Year!

Somewhere in Wayne County, New York :)

Hummm ..... did I hear someone say it's 2015?

Well, yes ..... pay attention!

So that must mean that something new is expected.

Really?!

Well, I'm thinking 2014 was pretty darn good so bring on 2015!

 Peace, warmth and fuzzy hugs.
Happy New Year!
