Saranac Lake, NY.... Morning Dance on Moody Pond..

Absolutely Adirondacks - Log home on Moody Pond, Saranac lake MY

The music can't be heard. Yet, without a doubt, there is a line up and the motion has begun.

The dance begins with the gentle movement of the spirit of the lake.

The intensity builds ...

And it lifts ... lifts its invisible arms ... up .... up

And it intensifies to a moment of incredible energy. It explodes .....

.... and then there is a great reveal ... of peace and beauty and colors that are crystal clear. And, it all happens in about 5 minutes.

The dance of the mist ... the dance of the soul .... will leave you breathless ... and, gasping for more.

Rhea ... gift of the Adirondacks

Rhea - Adirondack Pottery - pieces from the William Coffey Gallery in Northville, NY

Every so often an artist grabs my attention. Rhea has certainly turned my head.

Being someone who has a passion for creating art, I can appreciate what it's like when your work is recognized and there is an energy to share it out even further.

Given that my blog has been picked up around the world, I want to share what this woman is creating.

I will let you wander the pictures,  to feel the creation of this artist's view of beauty.

Rhea's pottery is only part of her story. Her oil paintings are breathtaking.

I'm stealing a quote that a friend shared on Facebook yesterday. It seems so fitting. Grab your coffee and let this filter through your thoughts ....

Quote of Ned Beauman's, speaking of Olafur Eliasson in the NYTimes mag nearly 9 months ago: " He believes that in normal life we have a tendency to hurry along on autopilot, seldom questioning our deeper assumptions. Art, by goosing the senses, can make us more conscious of our positions in time, space, hierarchy, society, culture, the planet. In the long run, this heightened consciousness will result in change for the better-emotionally, socially, politically. "

Morning world!

Miscellaneous, random and simple .....

All pictures are from Sodus Point, NY

There is a freedom when things are random.

The lack of association provides the opportunity for individual appreciation.

Simple, free floating  ....

Ramble along.  Appreciating what is for the sake of what is. The freedom is refreshing and rejuvenating.

Breath deeply, absorb the moment and allow your mind to drift randomly around the simplicity.

What a great feeling.
