Le Chateau Frontenac ... Quebec City, Canada

Did I mention before that I LOVE Quebec City?  ;)

An endless list of reasons to fall in love with this charming city certainly includes this majestic Chateau.

Glancing up from the streets of Old Quebec City, a peek of this watchful Inn lures you closer and closer.
 It's a backdrop that isn't soon forgotten.

Sitting atop that hill, one wonders how strong their lungs are to tackle the climb ... or, how about that tram! Tram up, walk down .. that was a smart choice.

Once up at the Chateau, the expansive front courtyard is a delight. And, who knew, I would find a sculpture from one of my favorite artists!

The view over the lower part of the city reveals our two week home away from home. But, more importantly is the view of the St Lawrence River.

But ... wander I must, as I just know there is so much more to discover.

The inner courtyard is so beautiful. Everyone is snapping pictures... just trying to capture the feel.
Then you walk thru the revolving doors ....

 Beautiful!

Oh ... did I mention the Chateau shops? A few things found their way home with me.
Unhappily having to find our way back to the boat, I click away at the continued charm that oozes from the historic Chateau.

But for now, I will keep you tucked in my memory, I will marvel at your grandeur and I will say thank you to the wonderful Canadian people who keep and share this most treasured gift. It is truly a gem.

Sometimes it's the simplest things in life that can bring such peace.

Bones of life .... feel it, hold it ... take it with you.

Adirondack love ... Saranac Lake, NY and more.

I'm always searching for color schemes that set my creative juices flowing.
This trip I was overflowing!

The view across Lake Flower to Riverside Drive will never grow old. Fall simply gives it the "best dressed" award!
Saranac Lake NY

Tucked into a little corner of Saranac Lake is Moody Pond.  Once it wraps its "arms" around you, you never want to leave!
Breath in that pine, fresh air and listen the wind weaving through the mountains. What could be better!

Eventually the road begs you to venture further. ... to the Cascade Lakes.

Ever mindful of what Mother Nature can dish out, the radio gives warning to more beauty on the way.  Heads up ... the snow has arrived!

Moody Pond puts on her new face ...and a beautiful face it is!

All good trips must end. The journey out was no less beautiful than the stay.

Until we meet again my beautiful home town ... share your splendor!

You are magnificent!
