A little different ... walk in the park. Griffith's Sculpture Park

Let me set the stage for you.
We entered the park having no idea what we were about to experience. The walk was easy and serene ... and then the path broke into a meadow. Briefly my thoughts went to ... there must be more; and, there sure was!
Off to the left was a large water reserve with 25 foot statues. Not one or two ... but, many.  Some upright and some now in a prone position but none the less, all sparking interest to explore more.

Day's end.

Duck,  North Carolina (Outer Banks)
It's magical how the day ends.

The glow of the sun settles over the land.

The message radiates from its decent ... day is done.

Breath deeply, enjoy the moment ....

.. and appreciate the gift.

The day closes.

The sun bids goodnight yet lights up the sky in its afterglow.

And, walking to the other side of the Island, the moon says ... welcome.
Ahhhhhh .......

Oh these irises!

I will never tire of growing and photographing these beauties!

Every year they take my breath away .... maybe even more than the year before.

Either they become more beautiful each year, or another year of life makes me appreciate their beauty even more.

Maybe I need to get out my paint brushes now!
