Magical Wintery Tour ... (Kent Park, Webster, New York)

Kent Park, Webster, New York
Anyone who follows my blog knows that Kent Park is one of my consistent "go to" places. Just around the corner from my house,  it's my happy place.

I'll swear to you that each season is my favorite ... because there is always something unexpectedly beautiful.

It's all the same ... but it's all so different. Who knew that there are natural snowballs sitting in the fir trees .....
Who knew that the sun would create a subtle backdrop that would accentuate the complex texture of the fir tree path.

And, that the virgin snow would make me feel like I was trespassing on something sacred.

 Sigh ....

Right down to the finest detail ... it's mezmerizing.

Somehow I felt like I was witnessing a formal dance .... with beautifully draped gowns ...

... and a curtsy for the next dance.

The ball room  is beautifully decorated.

But ... I must go ... despite the desire to keep exploring.

It was a beautiful inspiring walk thru the park.

The joys of a good-bye ..

Moody Pond, Saranac lake, NY
Let me just preface this blog by saying ... I hate having to say good-bye to the Adirondacks.

Moody Pond, Saranac lake, NY

In the ever present quest for finding the positive, I find it as I drive away from the mountains and lakes that hold my heart.

State Boat Launching Site,  Upper Saranac

Inevitably, there's one more snow covered road that I have to take because I just know that there's one more beautiful experience just waitng to be captured.

I'll confess that some of the shots have been taken before; perhaps in another season.

But, I will argue that each one is different.

It's a new day and the sun has never before shone on this day ... so it is new!

Regardless if it is a duplicate, I will love it doubly as much. And, my heart will be doubly happy.

What a beautiful moment in time.
