As I approached this pathway, I remember being overcome with the strength and detail of the beautiful stone work. As I walked beneath it, my eyes were drawn up and up.

And, this was a promise of nature leading to nature.. and beyond.
I felt overwhelmed with choice and grandeur when looking at the doorways and pathways of the Capitol, I felt small and overpowered.

I found this lovely little piece of garden in the center of Chicago. The woodwork, gardens and pathways were an even more special surprise because they sit on the Magnificent Mile .. I felt like I had found an oasis.

The door to the mausoleum gave me moments to think about those who rest within and how this is the entrance to their home. Quiet and strong ... the statement was clear.

This little doorway is the old entrance to the library that was so special to me as a child. As you walk into the library and turn right, there was a small table and chair. I used to love to get "Edith and Mr. Bear" off the shelf and read it page by page at that table.

This doorway will always be near and dear to my heart. You see, this is the doorway to the house that I grew up in. Lots of memories, much love and happiness ....
It's all about passages ... passages that are beautiful, build promise, provide memories ...... enter in ..... and embrace the feeling.
