One last peek ...

..... at the flowers of the holidays.

Nestled into beautiful Highland Park in Rochester NY is Lamberton Conservatory.  Looking through the double doors of the lobby, you glimpse the blaze of color just beyond.  Come, come closer ... it seems to whisper.

The colors, aromas and path draw you in.  Funny thing is, you start to whisper to the person beside you. Who would want to disturb this peaceful setting.  

The reflection in the bulbs shows the promise of things to come.

The contrast between the cacti and poinsettias is an interesting combination of brilliant petals and earth tones spikes. .   

 

A glance through the window is a reminder of yet another world of contrasts.

 And, who can resist the wondrous colors of tarnished copper. The sting of small containers funneling the flow of water through its chain is mesmerizing.  I want to take this home.

   





This warm oasis is the happy environment for happy turtles and tropical flora. It's the promise of spring .. just a few months away.

Ending the journey, we bid goodbye to the holiday flowers and greet the beauty of winter.  The sculptures spark a new interest.

 

And, those trees that wear a coat of beautiful leaves for most of the year, now reveal  their most interesting soul. Ah ... the beauty of the seasons is a gift of nature. Happy NEW Year!
