I was told that we should go to Cape May. I thought ... but, that is New Jersey and why would I go to Jersey? Hummmmm ..... boy....... YOU should go to Cape May, New Jersey!
Each porch is as beautiful as the next. Everywhere you look are lovely porches, beautiful chairs, lovely combinations of colors. There is so much to absorb.
So, getting back on our bikes, because our feet are so tired, we pedal down the side streets only to find yet more charming houses.
Some of these places just becon you to come sit. Please, please ... come rest and enjoy the peace. Ahhh.
After meandering through the neighborhoods, trying not to crash into cars and curbs ... because you just have to look at one more porch .... the view changes. What is this! House after magnificent house, huge elegant pieces of history, are lined up along the beach front, dying to tell stories of families who owned them, parties that took place, people who rent them.
Yes, the Jersy Shore is one of the most interesting, beautiful places that you simply must see! I LOVED it!
Hmmmmm, Cape May, Summers Point, Ocean City. Memories of visiting my grandparents at the shore.
