Trillium ....

.... so simple and so lovely.

There are many varieties of trillium ... but, here is the most fascinating fact!  Did you know that trillium ..... have their seeds carried by ANTS! Now, there is a little known fact!

Trillium is a protected plant because damage to their leaves causes them to not be able to produce food for the next years growth.  This damage takes years to repair ... thus ... their protection.

I had the pleasure, to again visit S & T's backyard which obviously has become a sanctuary for these lovely little gifts. So nice .... so VERY nice!
