Tiptoe through the tulips ....

 ..... go carefully because these are beauties!

Bet you couldn't guess where these are from!  Yes, another trip through Highland Park, only to find the tulip beds in bloom!  

When I rounded the corner and found their heads peeking up over the greenery, I knew what the blog was going to be tonight.

What glorious combinations!

In a prior post, you saw this tulip all "buttoned up".  Today, it was wide open and embracing the sun! I think that it wins as my favorite tulip this year.

The lavender was so fresh ... cool and promising.

These might just find themselves coming to life at the end of my paintbrush.  I can just feel it happening.

Reds just dance to their own tune.

 For some reason, the whites  .... moved me.

Perhaps it's the song that I was listening to as I was creating my slideshow.  Who knows ... but; it happened.

How is it that the sides of the petal are so finely "painted"?

 This early morning walk was such a wonderful way to start the day ... full of color!  It's so terribly exciting!
