Take a slow step with me on this journey .....it's really quite wonderful.
This is yet another corner of that beautiful backyard that I have the privilege of photographing. Nestled into the woodland scape is a patio area, large enough to accommodate some Adirondack chairs, and surrounded by rocks adorned with carpets of moss.
The rolling bumps and the lush colors are ... hummm ... dreamlike.
The layers ....
.. textures ...
..colors ...
.. and contrasts ... are so interesting.
Much like my comments on the "Clouds" post, you can almost envision the moss on the rocks as becoming animated. Perhaps this rock on the left front is an animal face with bulging eyes. Or, it's a mountain range.
Rocks aren't the only ones to be wrapped in moss. Tree trunks also carry this beauty. (Please note the Trillium getting ready to bloom at the base! More to come on this!)
So, I didn't want you to miss this beautiful plant formation. I now have aspirations of planting more trees, to produce more shade, to grow more moss. Check back in about 20 years, when the trees have created the right environment! I'll be about 80 ... and still dreaming about what to do with my garden!
Thanks once again S&T!
