Stone work ......

Moving, serene,  a gift to experience ........ yes, those are words for St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Kennibunkport, Maine.

The stone work is to be experienced.

The large sea-washed stones were hoisted and dragged to the church site during the winter of 1886-1887.  These local stones make up the interior and the exterior of the church .... and, they are beautiful!

You can't help but run your fingers along the rugged surface of the stones. Interwoven with the feel is the color. Combine that with the softness of the flowers and you feel ......feel that you have experienced something that was  .... special ... meaningful.

I wish I could give you what I feel when I find such and opportunity to capture something special.  Perhaps that is the never ending quest of someone who loves photography. I hope that quest never ends
