Allium and Poppies ....
To me, this combination is a show stopper! It's the first garden that I start photographing ..... and it's the last garden I photograph!
Somehow, these crazy poppies, tell a story. I'm not sure exactly what the story is ... but, it's a story!

A time to remember ....
Although this plaque is found at the Navel Academy in Annapolis, the spirit of the message applies to all branches of the service.
Real people ....

Look up .....
I love the space above ... people are so creative with it. It's a different kind of "palette".
I love seeing the magnificent tops of buildings busting out from behind the trees. Sometimes it's the "wow " moment - look at that.
Or it's the feeling of ... how did all that come together. Was that really made by a person? Think about that person working the stone, creating the engravings. It's almost .... unbelievable.
I always want to get closer. To touch it. To really see it. To experience the feel of the material. I want to get to know the creator. How does that vision come about and what happens in the craftsman's head as they work to create.
The vision is .... incredible..... and we don't hear anything about these artists. They just seem to quietly walk amongst us.

Graffiti.....
I have to say that I am intrigued by graffiti! I love the free spirit of the art form.
I don't consider this graffiti but it was an outside wall of a school near the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Again, I just love the free flow ... great examples of expression.
I wish I had seen the work in progress.

Wandering my yard ....
...this morning was such a treat. Prior to beginning the work day, I grabbed my camera and hit the yard. The grass was dew covered and my old shoes soon became wet and covered with grass.
But, that just didn't matter. Not if I could capture some pictures to share with you!
The Irises are just coming into bloom. Yellow, purple, peach, blue and burgundy. You'll see throughout the next few weeks. They are photo inspiring!
These little succulents are happy, happy, happy. Such a great use of an old cracked fountain! (Thanks AGT!)
The Rhodes are strutting their stuff ..... luscious!
And, who can deny the beauty of the leaves of the Coleus!
I ended my walk with this little guy. New to my garden, I am full of anticipation of what this guy is going to look like. Stay tuned!
