Abstraction!

 I pondered the word ... abstraction.

Searching for a meaning, I found myself in even deeper thought.

By definition, it means:

The quality of dealing with ideas rather than events.

 Freedom from representational qualities in art.

 Creating each of these pieces produced a freedom. All are pure ideas. Each born from space that allowed an energy flow that was without boundaries.

The energy is evident.

What is thought provoking is how the energy changes. At times it is wide open and whirling. Other times it settles down and takes a more defined shape. And, in the passage of time, it borders on reality all the while pushing back to freedom of flow.           Just so interesting.

                                                              Inviting ......

Enchanting .... did I say that already?

Colorful  ... every one of them!

                                                          Detailed ....

                                                             Painstakingly loved ....

                                                          one after another ...

                    Yes, they are Gingerbread houses! And I will be Hansel or Gretel .... following the path from one beautiful house to another. I wish I had pictures of every one of them. Next time!!

What to like better ....

 Each step of the way carries a delight!

Together, individually or the beauty surrounding the process ... it all makes me step back and think ....

..... what beauty!

 The finest of detail is to be captured.

 I'm uncertain what part to like more. The beauty of the fresh food, the detail of the individual pieces, the aroma, the final product?! And, we haven't even gotten to the part about savoring the outcome!

Isn't it Interesting ....

  It has been exactly one year, to the day, that I have added a post to my blog.

 Several factors have influenced my decision to start blogging again ... the need to share some beauty,  the need for a peaceful moment, time for reflection, and, the enjoyment of reading a friends blog this afternoon.

 I'm not going to be wordy. I am going to give you silence ...

  ..and peace .....

  ...and beauty ...

 .... and a chance ....

 ... to dance in my garden.
