Things I know ... and, don't know!

 I know when my gut says to pay attention, that I need to.

I also know that there are times to slow down and appreciate the moment.

Yesterday at Highland Park was one of those moments.

 Can you believe that I hesitated in the morning to take the short drive up to the park. I was dragging ... tired from lots of life stuff ... all good; but, making me long to just stay home.

Someone else in this house had other thoughts; knowing that the overcast sky and high light was something I love to take advantage of.

Within 20 minutes of leaving home, I was so energized!

After circling this particular tulip bed a dozen times; standing up, kneeling down, wondering if someone would call an ambulance if I laid down to get that upwards shot ...  

I knew I had to move on with the day.

 But, not before going back one more time ... for one more shot .. or 12.

I circled back in thought ... things I know - this is pure beauty!

Things I don't know - why I even thought for a minute that I was too tired to go to Highland Park!

So glad for that attitude adjustment!

 I love to share what's happening! Listen  ... they're all chattering!

Look at me!  Look at my color ... my texture .... get "up close and personal"!

Is your head swimming  in our colors? 

Come on ... get lost in my folds .... it's like a maze .... which way is out.

Keep following your nose ... from one unbelievable fragrance to the next. Breathing deeply ....

And then  let your eyes drift ... up, up. Our fingers are reaching for the sky!

 

Don't forget us! We are tiny but we pack a colorful punch!

 

 

Look at us, we are playing garden sea-horse. How are we doing?

For us, we love to be simple ....

.... and fancy.

 Our name is Rose ... every one of us ... but, some of us are bushes, some climbers ... personalities galore!

Hey ... look at us.  Our little faces are talking to you!

 I think we better reply! What's that?  Oh ... thank you for wishing us a happy day.  Same to you my new little friends!

And so, we have come to the last of the flowers of today's garden tour. There was great excitement in the gardens when I told everyone that I would be bringing all of you by. They promised to be buffed and puffed to show you their finery!

I loved walking with you today.  It makes my heart happy to share my garden friends. I love to give them a chance to shine!

 

I hope you don't mind that your shoes got to wet walking in the morning dew.  It's just glorious ... don't you think ?!

 Alice In Wonderland comes to mind as I venture into a small part of Highland Park. Alice had, all those poppies .... I have, all those tulips!

Yesterday was an early morning rise.  Coffee in hand, car nice and warm ... camera riding shotgun.

With the goal of being the first one at the garden store ... so I could have the place and the staff  all to myself ( God only knows I have a list of things and questions to ask).  I thought ... where to go ...?

 It's a little early for the blooms in  Highland Park ... but what about their tulips.

As I rounded the corner, I knew I made the right decision.

 My thoughts .... I would love to sit .. but this is just the first part of my morning mission!

But ...

I will return next weekend, as my heart tells me, it's all just beginning.
