Lake Mc Donald and Glacier National Park .. Montana Glory!

Lake Mc Donald

Can't you "hear" the peacefulness.

But, don't just look up; look down.

Beneath your feet is  more simple complexity. If only I had the time to study each little piece that makes up the bigger picture.

But, as with everything, it's time to move on ... into the park and its unfolding story. How many years do you think these glaciers have been tucked into the crevices of the mountains?

It's so big .. and beautiful ... right down to the detail.

However, I will never forget the feeling that ran through me as we passed by this spot.

STOP!

Now I ask you, are you surprised that I demanded the car to be stopped? Really? This is real, and beautiful and mesmerizing.

Camera in hand, standing on the side of the road ... I thought ... I am so lucky. So lucky to have this moment in time. Grateful for all that this is.

One shot ... one big story.

Through the gates of Charleston, North Carolina

I'm fascinated by and drawn to ... gates. I can't help that I have to walk up to them and see what is just beyond.  They seem to say .... welcome!

Or they might say, I am extraordinarily beautiful, admire me and honor my job of protecting.

They proudly announce their home. The message ... pay close attention to our artistic gift.

I find myself loss for the words that describe what I feel when gazing on these works of art. They are what they are; but, there is more ....

Often I place my camera just beyond the beauty of the wrought iron ... and I capture that story. I'm still without words. I am lost in the beauty of the moment.

I carry it with me ... as it's a beautiful story.

Mt Vernon, Virginia ...

When I have the opportunity to tour beautiful estates, I always imagine being invited to dinner.
I slowly walk along, breathing in the air, listening to the sounds and imagining the conversation that I would have as a guest in the house.

I would tell them how lovely their dogwood tree is and that I have a pink one that I just love.

And, I would comment on that lovely contrast of nature and architectural structures.

And, of course I would comment on how lucky they are to live on a lake. I did too as I was growing up and still feel the pull on my spirit.

The conversation would be warm and easy as we wander thru the sections of their property where  their food is grown. I would comment on how fortunate they are to be able to have grow their own foods.

Your house is lovely I say. And your rolling grounds are oh so beautiful.

Dinner, time together, conversations,  laughter .. it was all so perfect!

And, then I say good-bye to my host and hostess. George and Martha Washington, it was a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for sharing your home with me.

Rest peacefully.And ... thank you.

So cool .... Morris Farmers Market, (Barco, North Carolina)

Each time we visit the Outer Banks, it's a requirement that we stop at this roadside market ... for about 2 hours. It is the coolest of the cool ... farmers market.  Family owned, the atmosphere and the coolness radiates family love of great produce and products, creativity of design, customer service and just simply cool things. I always make sure that I support their financial goals .... but, I am truly the winner.

The first treat is walking in their doors, being greeted by so many friendly faces and smiles, you wander past all their fresh produce, especially bottled sauces, wines, pasta, candy (on and on). But, what you really have to stop and admire are the displays.

Once thru the store, you have another experience coming. It's a world of "everything"!  I never get out of this area without bringing home some type of medal something .... my garden loves this part!

It's so easy to get "lost" in this array of unusual items ... trying to figure out just what might fit in the SUV. Darn, I would love these Adirondack chairs!

Check out these outboard motors though ... I just know they have stories to tell!

Makes you just want to pull up a chair and enjoy the eclectic mix of whatever.

If you are out this way ... make sure you stop ... and make sure you buy ... some Bone Sucking Sauce .... OMG!!!

Just so cool!
