The blooming of "sunshine"

One of my favorite signs of spring is the blooming of the Forsythia bushes.
Who can resist the "gold' that erupts from the early forming buds.
Those budding promises  ... are a sign of the rejuvenation of life.

I always think about a ball of sunshine when I see them in all their glory.
And, don't you love that vase?
Gift from my daughter and son-in-law from their trip to New Mexico.
It seems to dance ... with a mane of sunshine!

Brightness of the day!

From the hands of a 5 year old ...

May your day be filled with  ....

... color ...

 .
.. joy ... love .... and happiness.

Happy Easter!

Hope ...

Sometimes I sit and enjoy pictures of my garden flowers.

Certain  garden shots were especially thought provoking tonight.

My thoughts wandered to hope .... hoping they survived the long and brutal winter.

Where would we be without hope in our lives.

A little NY, Lake Champlain and Vermont

Driving into Plattsburgh, NY this week, I was greeted with a glimpse of the Green Mountains.  Those of you who know me well, know what happened next!
I saw a hint of those mountains and that lake and the next thing on my mind was to point the car in that direction and keep going.

The "treasure search" was worth it!

I found myself at what I think was called the Yacht Basin ..... but, it not, I called it my lucky day!

I don't know that the mountains and the lakes will ever stop "calling" me.

I do know, that every time they call out, I try to make it happen.

New Pinwheels of Life

I admit it ... I am somehow drawn to these graceful "birds".
They fascinate me!

I drove over 1350 miles this week and I have to say that this 20 mile stretch of wind mills, between Chautaugay and Plattsburgh, New York, really grabbed my attention.

Coming up over the hills, passing by all the farm yards, and then happening upon hundreds of spinning blades was .... astonishing.

Very old farms .... mountains as a back drop ..... farm animals .... cell towers .... and wind mills.

Somehow I did feel conflicted.

I can feel the dichotomy.  But, I see the benefits.

For this moment in time, I embraced it.  And, I reflected back on my trip between San Diego, California and Palm Dessert .... hundreds ... maybe thousands, of these whirling giants ....

Simply fascinating.
