I am so excited to meet you! (Keene, New York)

Do you know how long I have been searching to meet you! Seems likes years.

I've heard about you; and, was so afraid that you would be gone before I had the chance to find out what you were about and to capture your passing beauty.
Imagine my surprise when I almost drove by you; but, a quick turn of my eyes and there you were!

Your eyes seem to tell a story. You look out and we look in.

Much as I expected, when I look
in, I see more of the story. And, I walk away with more questions. Just what were you all about?
How many people and animals have passed through your doors.

You're well used. And, that is what makes you so interesting!

Your bones are broken, Your hair is in patches.

You are barely hanging together.
It's obvious to me that many people have walked around you. Explored you. The paths are deep and wide.

 I hear your question ....

... when do I get to go?
I'm a bit shaky ...  wobble in the wind ... the weight of the snow tests my bones.

I look out and enjoy the land that has been mine for many years.
 Yup .... I'm tired.
My history hangs all around me.

As I begin to walk away, I keep looking back.
I loved my time with you. Thank you for sharing your story.

You have been an inspiration... to me and to many.

Photos of you will stay with history.

Your beloved character will remain with the mountains.
It has been my deepest pleasure to meet you.

I hope to see you again!
