Lake Placid .....just a glimpse...

,,, of the beauty of this Adirondack Region.

 

 Regardless of the season, the Lake Placid region is one beautiful corner of the world.

Whiteface Mt pops up from many vantage points. It seems to hide then all of the sudden, she's there!

 

Anyone who has the fortune to step out and breath the air, listen to the birds, smell the woodlands and enjoy "God's County", knows the experience of the senses. You simply can not explain it. 

The discovery of a well tended garden is a gift ....you witness the beauty of flowers grown in the Adirondacks against the majestic backdrop. Hard to wrap words around this .....

 

Along with the beauty of the mountains and lakes ... one would be remiss to overlook the detail that is everywhere.  It also has its own special draw.

 Wisdom would have it that you should never ignore the sky .. and who would want to!  The storms are magnificent.  Anyone who lives in these gorgeous little towns nestled in the mountains, will tell you that the thunderstorms are unbelievable. The sky is wild, the thunder is defening and the combinations of wind, rain, clouds and sun is ... breathtaking!

But, even in the Adirondack's, there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ... in this case, it's Lake Placid.
