Backyard antics!

  I am learning the virtue of patience! Do you know how long you have to hold still before these nervous little creatures will let you photograph them?!  To long!

Anyway, the goldfinches are back.  Hope they have some cozy spot for the upcoming week.  If it hits 29 degrees, they'll be shivering! 

And, who doesn't love these guys!  Do you know that Chickadees are known as "little clowns"? When I am filling the feeders, they are just a few feet from me and they are chattering!  At me!

I couldn't resist adding these pictures ... in flight mode.  I love the way the feathers on the wings are delineated.

 

 

I always love the "Downy".  Skittish and beautiful.

It seems to me that this "mess" is coming in for a landing.  I don't know what it is but I can tell you that he landed without mishap, which is hard to believe!

 

I thought this was a pretty interesting shot ... looks like he is chattering withe the statue. 

Although I was pretty stiff at the end of this backyard excursion, I had to say, I found the whole thing to be pretty entertaining.  Hope you enjoyed too!
