Boathouses ...along the Adirondack shores.

I promised you in a post from days past, that I would do a boathouse post. And, here it is!

Again, we are on the Upper Lake, looking out from the Wawbeek Inn. This time, hopping in a motorboat and touring around the shoreline, gives a long distance glimpse at a few of those mystical structures gracing the edges of equally magnificent properties and main buildings!

Looking up on the hill, the Wawbeek restaurant peaks out through the trees..

The guideboats glide along  ...

Chapel Island begs you to stop ....

  ..... and, then there are the boathouses!  I kept thinking, I just want to be able to see the inside.  It must be beautiful.  I want to smell the air .... bet it would remind me of my childhood.  I want to see all the stuff ... transporting me back to my life in the Adirondacks. 

 

 

And  we return to the shores of the Wawbeek. The Adirondack chairs beckon ... come sit, enjoy the memories of the boat ride.

Yes, it truly was  ... is magnificent!
