That snow flake ......

... is really quite simple; yet, at the same time complex. As I walk by these pieces hanging in my window, my thoughts go to their simple shapes and their complex interiors. Each snow flake is different; as is each person. The parallels between the two are quite interesting. Take a few minutes to think about it.

Hummmm, my thoughts of today ....what am I thankful for? Or, more importantly, who am I thankful for? Gesh, that list is so long. I hope that each and every one of you that I know, understand your importance in my world.  And, those of you that I don't know, I want to thank you for letting me share my blogs and the glimpses of the world through my eyes.

Peppers ..... yes, peppers ...

... can be so exciting!!   

You just walk around Pike's Fish Market in Seattle Washington and see what happens to you!! OMG, peppers had me nearly camera crazy! I would walk by them, circle back around and come by them again, only to circle back around yet again! The colors, the shapes ....the combinations.  What the heck! They are PEPPERS for God's sake! So, how many times have you looked through these pictures?

Sacred ground ....

...and what I was thinking.

Mesa Verde, in a beautifully quiet section of south west Colorado, has the power to settle into the depths of your mind with wonders of what it must have been like for the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to A.D. 1300. The guide explained that women would strap their children to their backs and climb the ladders that would bring them over the overhanging cliffs which were considered their protection.

Due to my fear of heights, I couldn't bring myself to climb into certain sections of the dwellings.  To pass the time, I remained in a gathering area, connected via my BlackBerry to work! In a matter of minutes, I felt a strange sense of inappropriateness .... resulting in quickly shutting off the BB.  This sacred ground needed to remain just that.  I struggled with thoughts of using my digit camera  ..... but, knew I just had to capture these amazing villages.
